Stressed Spelled Backwards
Not much of reader? Listen here!
It’s the end of LoLo’s Cakes.
After I posted my last blog, I got flooded with messages and nearly all of you had the same reaction:
“The end of LoLo’s Cakes?? Wait...what does that mean?”
Before I answer that, let me just say: Thank you. Truly. It means the world that people are not only reading my words but also care enough to ask questions and follow up. Every blogger dreams of an audience, but actually having one? That little dopamine hit was one I never imagined I'd taste so early in this journey.
So again, thank you. You keep me inspired.
Now, the question on everyone’s mind:
Why the radio silence? Why did it take me so long to post again?
Great question—and I’m glad you asked.
As I mentioned before (previous post), I’ve been accepted into an accelerated business program and graduate at the end of June. Which means I’m busier than ever. Meetings, networking, business planning, financial planning etcetera occupy my days and leave very little time to write. It’s the final stretch, and we’re expected to give our business pitches at the end.
No pressure, right?.
Especially when someone casually drops, “Oh, I spoke with the mayor about you and he wants to introduce you to investors.”
No big deal. I’m totally fine.
So, back to the big question:
Is this really the end of LoLo’s Cakes?
Yes...and no.
LoLo’s Cakes—my micro-bakery—was born out of my love for baking and wanting to share that with my friends and family. What started as a small side hustle has grown into something I never expected: A dream that’s starting to run.
The core of LoLo’s Cakes will forever remain, but it was never meant to remain small. I began making desserts not simply because I enjoyed it, but because it creates moments and memories of joy and togetherness; and that is where my true purpose lies. The next phase for LoLo’s Cakes is a dream meant for more than just myself, but a place for creative minds and community engagement meant for everybody.
So welcome—officially—to LoLo’s Kitchen. It’s new. It’s still under construction. But I want to share it with you. Because growth doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We learn from each other. We grow through each other.
It’s been stressful, to be honest. But, as the saying goes: stressed spelled backwards is desserts—so maybe I’m exactly where I need to be. Nothing worth having is easy to fight for at times.
In the coming weeks, you’ll notice some changes—new visuals, new stories, maybe even some surprises. But I’m not going anywhere.
We’re just getting started.
Until next time,
LoLo
